We’re hiring a Process Engineer in our Louisville, KY Interiors Plant!

Our Interior Systems Division is looking for a Process Engineer for its manufacturing facility in Louisville, KY to ensure series production meets customer requirements and support the continuous improvement process in the plant.

The main role of the Process Engineer is to verify quality, safety, and equipment uptime in their designated area. They provide engineering support to the assigned UAP and assists maintenance in supporting the plant through trouble shooting / problem solving methodologies to eliminate down time and decrease quality defects to the customer.

 

 

 

You’ll work on challenges that matter

This job will require you to

Ensure that series production meets customer requirementsSupport to the continuous improvement processEnsure the plant readiness to launch successful new programsManage and report key ME indicators

 

Series production

Procurement of manufacturing equipment under consideration of demanded security, quality and environmental protection and their preservationEquipment and tooling follow-upSupport the engineering change management processUpdate manufacturing routines and work instructionsKeep processes (machines, tools, procedures) at best possible level in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Quality, Cost & Delivery(QCD)Build the engineering budget and the plant CAPEX; and ensure their applicationMonitor capacity utilizationPlan, monitor and coordinate the work of external companiesCreate and introduce procedures regarding the tasks of his field of responsibilitySupport problem solving initiativesParticipate to the plant PDP

 

Continuous improvement process:

Support the continuous improvement process in following:Labor,Quality,Equipment and tooling,Space,Work conditions

 

Plant readiness to launch new programs

Participate in the definition of the production process and selection of machines and equipmentDefine plant layout to support new products launchesLead the installation process of new machines and equipmentSupport production in the start of new processes to ensure a successful SOP (initial samples, run @ rate, work instructions) People ManagementStaff, train coach, assess and develop the plant manufacturing engineering team(direct or dotted line)Support and train other networks/functionsParticipation in the management of the expertise network (knowledge capitalization)Comply and reinforce the Code of Management and Code of Ethics as it applies within the perimeter of Human ResourcesTo uphold and reinforce the Code of Ethics and the Code of Management as it applies within Human Resources• Comply with and reinforce the appropriate Code of Ethics as it applies to the confidentiality of employee’s personal data and the protection of HR related documents

 

Reporting

Manage ME key indicators (TRS: change over, cycle time, reliability…)Assist with additional tasks as assigned by companyFollow values established within Being Faurecia. Authority to enter purchase requisitions for areaAuthority to communicate with vendors for supportMake machine changes as needed

 

Knowledge / Skills

Prior experience in robots including programming and trouble-shooting preferred.Prior Injection Molding processing and troubleshooting experience.Experience with PLC programming and/or troubleshooting a plus.Trained in Faurecia Excellence System and Program Management SystemBasic financial skills (costing, budget, investment)Leadership skills and international mindsetAbility to interface with other functions - Networking capabilities.Fluent in English

 

 

Education / Experience:

Minimum 1-5 Years Manufacturing, Prior Injection Molding Experience PreferredMinimum education level: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
