Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

Actalent is seeking a skilled and experienced Process Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in process engineering, with strong mechanical experience.

Job duties include:

Equipment specification writing, equipment design review supportEquipment Buy off / Run off / Installation/ Debug supportEvaluate processes to drive down cost, increase capacity, and reduce process time. Affected processes include but are not limited to cosmetics assessment, device reconditioning, device programming, component-level testing, and final assembly functional, RF testing, device receipt, and shipping.Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, & Excel) for editing, revising, and creating production documentation and process analysis.Lead open issue meetings with the Operations TeamSupport manufacturing operations with regards to device failure validation, root cause analysis, corrective action implementationCoordinate with QA and Materials associates to address line impacting component escalations and determine alternate source componentsAnalyze production data and interpret results to direct Lean improvement initiativesWork with vendors and provide accurate documentation on parts and spare partsProcess/manufacturing facility layout designs to maximize throughput, yields, and qualityPerform root cause failure analysis on field failures (returns) and repair process failuresIdentify and report deficiencies and potential improvements to the department SupervisorActively identify & pursue Lean process improvement initiativesLead analytical troubleshooting & problem solving. Coach & train others on these as wellCollaborate with the plant and leadership team, customers, suppliers, and production floor personnel to identify and facilitate projects to improve key performance indicators (KPIs)Testing responsibilities, setting up of parameters with SPC (Statistical Process Control)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/ Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent or 5+ years of active experience in Process Engineering activities described in job responsibilities section.Process improvement experience - 80% of this roleProject Management ExperienceEquipment Procurement, Debugs & Installs (Mechanical Skills)Recent launch experience within a plantLean Six SigmaAbout Actalent
