Process Engineer
Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

Design product parts in CAD, evaluate manufacturing techniques and develop work instructions. Will write work instructions, update CAD designs, and work on the production floor 10% of the time.

DUTIES:

Modifies and improves membrane module designs using design guidelines and past data.  Interfaces with other engineers and vendors to ensure proper design for function requirements, using CAD software to design new components and improve existing product features.Ensures existing or new product development or redesign project is completed in accordance with Quality System requirements.  Conduct design reviews to verify the validity of the design.Partners with Global Manufacturing Division (GMD) to standardize product designs and products including ensuring documentation for product certification.    Develops innovative experimental tests to ensure parts qualify for intended use. Constructs, reports, and documents, e.g., memos, work instructions, procedures, bill of materials, graphs, engineering drawings and material specifications for products. Collaborate with internal each department to nurture unique product designs which may result in patentable features; partners with patent attorney in drafting and defending patents.Corroborate with internal R&D department on key product development issues moving prototype to mass production. Other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 4 years’ related experience with manufacturing exposure required or equivalent combination of education and experience.Solidworks.Water industry experience, a plus.  Job Type

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Oceanside, California.

Work Environment

300 people onsite in Oceanside, mostly manufacturing/production employees. Work hours: 8am-5pm (ideally onsite, with some flexibility for remote work).
