Linde Gas Equipment Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team

The Process Engineer is responsible for engineering process design and specifications for operations and capital project support. Activities support growth initiatives, safety improvements, and efficiency improvements. The Process Engineer works as a team and independently to make technical decisions based on full awareness of viability, cost, and other benefits. The Process Engineer creates system designs including PFDs, PIDs, general arrangement drawings and equipment specifications.

Projects are typically for expansion or improvement of systems used in the manufacture and distribution of ultra-high purity electronic and specialty gases. The Process Engineer will lead front end system design – often starting from scratch – and follow through as the technical lead through all phases of the projects culminating in system startup and turnover to plant operations.

Communicates and collaborates as needed with project management, customers, operations, procurement, safety, and business groups. Develops and implements innovative solutions for process, plant, and project-based problems. All activities will require excellent organization and communication.

Responsibilities:

Acts as the technical representative in HAZOPs and design reviews.

Participates on project and technical teams providing technical guidance to plant operations, project teams and other process engineers.

Design and develop project plans (new systems, upgrades, efficiency improvements, and maintenance projects) and as part of a team executes the plan using available resources, achieve safety, quality, and business requirements.

Develops designs for gas purification, handling, and disposal systems.

Works with system integrators to develop during software for processes.

Ensures compliance with Linde policy and government regulations

Participates in final field safety inspections

Qualifications:

Requires Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Chemical preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience creating drawings using AutoCAD; SolidWorks or another CAD programs.

Must have a positive attitude, be willing to quickly adapt to changing situations, have strong communications skills.

Actively supports culture of safety and health in the workplace.

Understands critical link between business success and customer quality expectations.

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
