As a Process Engineer, you will ensure continuous operation and efficient production by troubleshooting daily process problems and developing long-term solutions to prevent recurrence. Identify and drive process optimizations and continuous improvement.

 

About the role

Our Process Engineering team, composed of 4 people, is integrated in the Surface Production department and focuses on process optimization while safely producing tons in collaboration with the Mine, Maintenance, QHSE, and Project Engineering groups. As a Process Engineer, you will work on daily troubleshooting, long term solutions, and process optimization to support the safe, efficient production of soda ash and bicarbonate tons. You will get the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and have a positive impact on overall site success. You will be accountable to: Design, plan, and perform process experiments and studies to derive information required to develop sound engineering solutions for achieving process improvements to optimize plant efficiency and product quality Research and investigate new methodologies for advantageous applications   Communicate and interact effectively with other technical plant engineering staff Support all levels of production personnel in project implementation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement objectives Review day-to-day production, plant utility energy and costs, and coordinate projects and contractors to support site objectives  We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working a 4x10 schedule.

About you

Degree in Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited university; other engineering or technical degrees, (ME, IE, etc.), from a four-year accredited university with chemical manufacturing experience will also be considered. Relevant work experience of 5-10 years with Process or Industrial/Manufacturing plant Competencies: Data analysis Analytical skills Continuous improvement Behaviors: Communication Problem solving Leadership

About the pay and benefits

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the United States base pay reasonably expected for this role is $90,000 to $125,000, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
