Process Engineer
Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing to achieve Operational Excellence. This role involves developing and monitoring program and project management processes, identifying key improvement opportunities, and addressing waste, inefficiencies, and process failures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Spearhead Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
+ Develop and oversee program and project management processes.
+ Identify and implement key improvement opportunities by eliminating waste, inefficiencies, and process failures.
+ Support problem-solving and performance improvement projects across the organization.
+ Train and mentor staff in lean concepts and methodologies.
+ Lead a team of Kaizen Technicians to drive frontline improvements.
+ Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance competencies in World Class Operations and Lean practices.
+ Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement to maintain a competitive edge.
+ Develop and maintain essential process documentation, including standard operating procedures and best practices.
+ Analyze Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and downtime data to generate insightful reports and define improvement projects.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
+ Address safety, environmental, and ergonomics issues.
+ Troubleshoot and program robots to optimize processes.
+ Implement new processes and optimize existing ones.
+ Evaluate and implement employee suggestions for process improvements.
+ Conduct cost analyses and drive cost reduction initiatives.
+ Provide shop floor support and develop processes for new products.
+ Conduct capacity studies to ensure efficient use of resources.
Knowledge & Skills:
+ Proficient in process improvement and manufacturing methodologies.
+ Experience in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Ability to train and mentor staff in lean concepts.
+ Proficient in analyzing OEE and downtime data.
+ Knowledge of safety, environmental, and ergonomics issues.
+ Experience in troubleshooting and programming robots.
+ Strong communication and organizational skills.
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
+ Proven experience in process improvement and manufacturing.
+ Experience in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
+ Experience with CNC machines, Kaizen, 5S, and OEE.
+ Knowledge of Fanuc Robotics and preventative maintenance.
+ Ability to obtain a security clearance.
