We’re happy to discuss flexible working hours, patterns, and locations to suit you and the business. **What You'll Be Doing** As a Process Engineer, responsibilities include developing basic data packages that provide input to the capital project process. Will be onsite creating and managing heat and material balances, creating specifications (pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, etc.), reviewing and validating vendor equipment proposals, attending and participating in PHA meetings, and completing markup P&IDs for drafting by others. Other Responsibilities + Responsible for study, design, specification, and services related to piping systems and process equipment including pressure vessels, process tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, etc. + Responsible for design and specification of piping systems, utility and equipment ties-ins, pipe supports for heavy industrial facilities. + Consulted on design, specification, selection, and services relating to, pipe standards, manual valves, and inline piping equipment. + Work from P&ID's, client specifications, and vendor data to complete scopes of work and issue for construction packages. + Review and check design packages including P&IDs, general arrangements, line lists, isometrics, pipe supports, and installation details. + Assist in conducting piping and mechanical reviews of all project packages prior to IFC to ensure that quality procedures are followed. + Review project design estimates and scopes of work for new and proposed projects. + Required to perform necessary field work, taking measurements, locating tie-ins, as-building existing systems, developing detailed scopes. + Ensures that completed project scope is safe to operate, functional, maintainable, and that all applicable codes have been followed. + Must interface with other engineering and design disciplines. Requirements + BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering + Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy industrial industry + PE Preferred + Experience in working with and mentoring designers/engineering team members. + Experience in communicating job packages/projects with construction and plant personal. + Experience utilizing vendor equipment specifications and reading vendor manuals. + Experience in developing scopes of work, task analysis, material list and project schedules + Preferred experience with CAD software platforms Physical Requirements + Work is located at a chemical plant and requires exposure to ambient temperature extremes + Work will require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as fire-retardant clothing, hearing and eye protection, hard hat, and steel-toed boots + Must be able to complete necessary field work in process areas around the plant site **Hargrove Culture** We work to create an environment founded on trust, personal integrity, and a “team mentality” so that each person understands the value of their contributions both on a project and company-wide level.
