Process Engineer
Description We are looking for a Process Engineer that is a subject matter expert in all special processes related to operations and support for machine maintenance. Responsible for managing new special process equipment installation projects through technology research, project approval, and implementation. Support maintenance of special process equipment and/or perform mechanical repairs as needed. This position relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach by using and interpreting policies and procedures. Requirements Responsibilities: + Special Processes in Scope: + Passivation (Nitric and Citric) + Electropolishing + Medical Industry Final Clean + Laser Etching (including medical industry passive etch requirements) + Laser Welding + TIG Welding + Heat Treating + Research latest technology. + Develop and implement refined processes, procedures, and best practices for special processing equipment to improve team efficiency and effectiveness. + Develop preventative maintenance requirements for each of these processes. + Troubleshoot through effective problem-solving. + Gain a deep understanding of chemical processing for passivation, electropolishing, and final clean. + Lead efforts in regular maintenance service contracts. + Oversee troubleshooting of all special process equipment. + Collaborate with and manage external suppliers, including sourcing, vetting, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships. + Assist in mechanical and electrical machine design and assemblies. + Manage project implementation for new equipment, processes, and process changes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred; supplemented by five (5) or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
