Summary: Seeking a Process Engineer with expertise in molding processes, scientific molding principles, and process optimization.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 5-years of hands-on molding Process Engineering experience
Technical degree (Bachelor) is preferred; comparable work experience considered
Knowledge and experience with a variety of materials and molding process equipment
Experience with secondary operations such as deflashing, pad printing, sonic welding, milling
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with thermoplastic, liquid silicone rubber, and high consistency rubber
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct injection, compression/transfer molding processes
Ensure new products are "ready for production" by providing input to Tooling, IQ, OQ and owning PQ
Develop and deploy scientific molding principles to control processes based on key parameters
Support and qualify processes for transfer tooling programs
Perform initial setups for new/supplied molds and document best practices
Document process optimizations/qualifications using UPS and monitoring tools
Develop training materials for process/set-up technicians; train operators in standard work methods
Employ problem solving and continual improvement techniques
Evaluate/improve existing production jobs for productivity gains in material, labor, overhead
Identify waste/cost reduction opportunities; champion projects to completion
Interface with cross-functional teams to resolve problems and meet plant objectives
Provide tooling assessments to solve concerns, increase tool life, reduce down-time
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
