ACCOUNTABILITY:
Continuously identify and implement PCG/PHC process improvement to produce and deliver compliant products at targeted cost, quality and service levels under excellent process safety management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible and accountable for PCG/PHC (Acrylic Emulsion, Polyquaternium and Wax Dispersion) process improvement, continuously drive operation technology development in order to ensure stable operations and on-time delivery to both internal and external customers. Work closely with HSES team to improve workshop HSES performance through process and engineering improvement to achieve HSES target. ensure MOC can be implemented compliance to company requirement. Lead process hazard analysis for both normal PCG/PHC facilities. Establish the product SOP and setup/maintain the process in DCS system. Maintain and improve the SOP system to standardize the operation process, and provide relevant trainings to the technicians. Create and issue batch cards for daily production. On-site monitor new product scale up successfully by working together with the team. Cooperate with global technical team for achievement of new technology implementation, new product development and process optimization. Timely respond to the quality and process issue from production line. Timely respond to any deviation of the work order comparison to KPI. Drive process and quality continuous improvement to achieve RME, FTP, FP and capacity target. Owner of off-grade and abnormal batch root cause analysis and correct action generation. Train operator to have enough awareness of all product SOP, batch card and technical critical points. Perform detailed process analysis, identify and generate optimization proposal, and define solution concepts. Lead process and related facility continuous improvement project. Technically support plant project, like equipment reliability, cost saving, energy saving and new product development. Corporate with site quality team and global quality team to develop and align quality test method for raw material, process and final product.
REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:
Education Background: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Engineering; master’s degree preferred. Major in Polymer science is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Words, PowerPoint, etc.) Emulsion and solution polymerization production process Know-how DCS batch setup and maintenance Familiar with SAP system Lean manufacturing knowledge is preferred Statistic tools knowledge and experience is plus Good communications and presentation skills Highly professional to deal with confidential information Excellent English both in speaking and writing
Other Experiences Preferred: At least 3 years working experience in chemical industry, emulsion or solution polymerization industry experience is plus At least 2 years working experience related to process DCS experience is preferred
