Process Engineer
Job Description: Process Engineer We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to evaluate and improve our production processes. The ideal candidate will analyze production schedules, methods, and data, providing management with essential reports to enhance the manufacturing process. This role ensures compliance with equipment requirements, optimizes workflows, and coordinates equipment maintenance while eliminating waste and enhancing efficiency. Responsibilities + Evaluate production processes and recommend improvements + Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and data to provide management with insightful reports + Ensure compliance with all equipment requirements and limitations in the manufacturing process + Review and calculate labor, material, and production costs to assist management in decision making + Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve efficiency + Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services, ensuring adherence to manufacturer’s procedures + Eliminate waste in the manufacturing process and apply innovative systems to improve workflows + Optimize production programs for labor balance and stocking needs + Provide flexible program offerings across multiple machines + Ensure traceability and repeatability through programs and ERP communications + Troubleshoot program challenges and reduce product inconsistencies + Develop fixtures for program applications and manage fixture assets + Problem-solve and communicate effectively with the work team + Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of workflow and processes Essential Skills + Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing + Proficiency in Gemba, statistical analysis, VSM, cost reduction, and assembly line process improvement + Experience with robotics related to welding and metal fabrication (MIG/TIG welding, cutting, bending, polishing, etc.) + Robotic welding and overall welding knowledge (confirm quality of welds, troubleshoot equipment) + Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering + Process/manufacturing experience with sheet metal, weldments, and large assemblies + Experience with ERP systems, VISIO, AutoCAD + Strong understanding of manufacturing processes + Proficiency in calculations used in manufacturing processes, including cycle times, takt times, standard work, and VSM Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with trailer/vehicle systems + Familiarity with standards for pressure vessels or silos, large assembly, fixture design, workflow, process flow, and robotic welding Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00 Company benefits will be shared upon initial conversation with Actalent and any related questions can be answered at this time.
