We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to evaluate and improve our production processes. The ideal candidate will analyze production schedules, methods, and data, providing management with essential reports to enhance the manufacturing process. This role ensures compliance with equipment requirements, optimizes workflows, and coordinates equipment maintenance while eliminating waste and enhancing efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate production processes and recommend improvementsAnalyze production processes, schedules, methods, and data to provide management with insightful reportsEnsure compliance with all equipment requirements and limitations in the manufacturing processReview and calculate labor, material, and production costs to assist management in decision makingAnalyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve efficiencyCoordinate equipment maintenance and repair services, ensuring adherence to manufacturer’s proceduresEliminate waste in the manufacturing process and apply innovative systems to improve workflowsOptimize production programs for labor balance and stocking needsProvide flexible program offerings across multiple machinesEnsure traceability and repeatability through programs and ERP communicationsTroubleshoot program challenges and reduce product inconsistenciesDevelop fixtures for program applications and manage fixture assetsProblem-solve and communicate effectively with the work teamContribute ideas for continuous improvement of workflow and processesEssential SkillsExperience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturingProficiency in Gemba, statistical analysis, VSM, cost reduction, and assembly line process improvementExperience with robotics related to welding and metal fabrication (MIG/TIG welding, cutting, bending, polishing, etc.)Robotic welding and overall welding knowledge (confirm quality of welds, troubleshoot equipment)Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineeringProcess/manufacturing experience with sheet metal, weldments, and large assembliesExperience with ERP systems, VISIO, AutoCADStrong understanding of manufacturing processesProficiency in calculations used in manufacturing processes, including cycle times, takt times, standard work, and VSMAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with trailer/vehicle systemsFamiliarity with standards for pressure vessels or silos, large assembly, fixture design, workflow, process flow, and robotic weldingPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00
