Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in problem-solving related to product and process systems, develop and test prototypes, and improve the efficiency of mechanical devices and systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems and machine centers, maintaining tooling inventory, and ensuring product quality.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in problem-solving related to product and process systems.Develop and test prototypes of designs.Investigate and test ideas to improve existing systems.Evaluate and improve the efficiency of mechanical devices and systems.Troubleshoot various electro-mechanical systems and machine centers.Maintain tooling inventory essential to the wire extrusion and copper drawing process.Develop and/or update process parameters for manufacturing processes.Assist in the development and implementation of new products, processes, and systems.Perform product quality verification checks.Interface with various wire and cable industry vendors.Focus on process improvement and cost savings projects.Create and implement standard operating procedures for manufacturing teams.Participate in daily GEMBA walks and team meetings.Essential SkillsBS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred)Excellent Microsoft Office skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)Strong communication skillsBasic troubleshooting skillsTeam-first attitude with the ability to work and produce positive results independently0-2 years of mechanical equipment troubleshooting experienceCurious mindset with demonstrated initiativeAdditional Skills & QualificationsAutoCAD skills (with Inventor Professional preferred)Experience establishing written standards and disseminating them within a manufacturing environmentWork Environment

Must be willing to work any shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. The role requires the ability to stand for long periods and work at heights on occasion. The work environment may involve exposure to cold, heat, noise, dust, fumes, paint, chemicals, oils, etc. Physical activity includes sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and walking (up to 80% of the day). Ability to climb ladders as needed for auditing and inspections. Open to working early mornings or evening hours to support operations as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00
