Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Day to Day Responsibilities: Establish operation process and sustain daily performance, troubleshooting while performance upset or equipment shut down. Rigorously follow Process Control and Process Discipline to ensure finishing line run to standard Support equipment and control system improvement and develop the most efficient production technology. Design, modify, and recommend equipment types to meet or exceed requirements in operation. Trouble shoots material, process and equipment issues, identifies root cause and implements corrective actions to meet the manufacturing performance target. Lead developments and propose engineering programs in equipment design that can improve or enhance the current process capabilities. Performance tracking, routine report and analysis, process capability monitor. Weekend and shift coverage is requirement as needed. Trains operators on new equipment and process. Implements and standardize, document materials, process and/or equipment changes. Assure quality and repeatability of process and products. Supports new product introductions through equipment installation, process certification, documentation and training. Required Skills Fix problem with timing, cost saving, data-driven, and detail oriented. Familiar with BOM (basic of manufacturing), problem solving, and statistic data analysis methodology. Use rigorous processes and data to solve problems. Uses a systematic approach to drive to root cause understanding of problems to assure validity of corrective actions. Understand process control and capability from process data analysis. Can work independently by him/herself and also work well within team group. Skill in software of Windows Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. Quality concept and QC method including FMEA, SPC, Report and presentation skill. English communication skill.
