Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description

An automotive manufacturer specializing in the development and manufacturing of shock absorbers and power steering systems for 2 and 4-wheeled vehicles is seeking a Process Engineer to undertake capital investment opportunities.

ResponsibilitiesFocus on process cost development for supporting quotation of new business.Collaborate with process engineering leads within each core manufacturing area.Develop a strong knowledge of all manufacturing areas within the plant and their technological capabilities.Facilitate meeting cadence with the process team to ensure new model quoting sequence follows existing proceduralized documents.Work closely with the PE management team and other departments such as procurement, sales, and the new model team.Support engineering-related projects in continuous improvement, quality improvement, or capital-related projects during times of lower new model development activity.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering3+ years of experience in Project Management (cradle to grave)3+ years of experience in high-volume assembly operations/manufacturing environmentStrong background in electro-mechanical equipmentExperience with capital investments and lean manufacturingExpertise in designing and implementing solutions to production equipment problemsProficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCADAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with poka-yokes, equipment modifications, and reverse engineeringAutomotive experienceExperience with SolidEdgePMP certificationWork Environment

This role will be exclusively associated with the 4 Wheel chassis & suspension division and will reside at the Sunbury plant. The work environment includes collaboration with various teams and occasional evening calls with Japan associates. Medium to strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, and the candidate will present to executive management teams via Microsoft PowerPoint. The role has minimal to no travel requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.29
