 Education:  

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or metallurgical engineering or related discipline preferredEquivalent or relevant experience will be considered. 

Work Experience: 

Minimum of 2 years investment casting experience requiredGood organization and interpersonal skillsExperience with land-based turbine product is desirableExcellent written communication skills required

Strong performance reviews with positive accomplishments with PCC.Have a strong sense of urgency with the ability to work independently.Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity.Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving.                        

Responsibility:                

Utilizing customer specifications, the Process Engineer develops and optimizes casting methods to manufacture single crystal, directionally solidified and/or equiaxed industrial gas turbine blades, vanes and related parts to meet customer and production requirements. Specific Duties:  Champions the development of specific investment casting processes to meet required customer specification, quality, and production goals.Responsible for investment casting process improvements including elimination of defects such as cracks, shrinkage, grain defects, and the improvement of metal utilization.Develop casting processes, define controls and develop solutions to process related programs.Coordinates with product engineer, production engineers, supervisors, and employees and the metallurgical laboratory.Communicate with customers on metallurgical issues.Prepare process approval packages on developmental jobs or revised processes.Provide hands-on, floor level investigations and problem solving.Respond as necessary on the off shift to advise on and provide solutions to process problems.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, and peers.Accept special projects as assigned.Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned. /*generated inline style */   All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. /*generated inline style */ Relocation
