In this role, you will:
Provide the leadership, technical development and technical control to the manufacturing plants so that this process operates at the highest productivity and profitability levels.
Participate in the design programmes that maintain occupational health, safety and housekeeping of the highest standard.
Assist in the development of a comprehensive quality control programmes that minimises waste and improves customer perception.
Ensure that the environmental design and operations of projects are within compliance of the standards of the Corporation and the Government.
Provide professional engineering knowledge and expertise for the solution of Mill daily operating problems.
Audit and make recommendations for the solution of problems relating to production, cost and quality of all production to assure the attainment of Mill Objectives and compliance with government regulations (specific to the manufacturing facility)
Develop and design process engineering equipment and systems needed to support plants.
Recommend items for P. & E. and major maintenance budgets and implement project assignments on authorised budgets within the prescribed time limits and cost allowances.
Statistical analysis of process and quality data
Continuously seek innovative solutions and lead by example.
The incumbent is responsible for liaising with suppliers to optimise material usage.
Be a lead and role model for the Process technicians.
Manage trial processes to the necessary standards.
Maintain material usage costs to within budget.
Management of Process engineering related EHS systems

Liaise with KC global for improvement initiatives, applicable workshops and visits

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
A minimum of a BSc. in Chemical Engineering or a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Process Engineering role
Relevant industry experience, i.e., Tissue / Paper will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated leadership in achieving results, process design and implementation and EHS systems management is essential.
Skills: Apply & manage the Research & Project Management Process; Translate Information & Data; Develop and manage innovation & product development; Deliver Profitable Returns; Develop process optimization plans; SAP.
