As a Process Engineer, you will provide project, process, and control engineering support to the Oak Creek Resin Plant in Circleville, Ohio. You will work with Production, Maintenance, and Technical staff to support both daily production needs and longer-term strategic plans. You will be part of a team focused on troubleshooting and improving plant process systems.
You will report to the Engineering Manager in the Circleville, Ohio Plant.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain documentation such as batch logs, SOPs, quality documents, P&IDs, PHAs
Work with maintenance to resolve mechanical problems
Manage compliance such as PPE, safety practices, complete safety interventions
Design, manage, and implement projects to improve safety, reduce cycle time or downtime, reduce waste and variability
Lead PHAs, DMAIC projects, PDCA projects, kaizen events
Evaluate the performance of the reactors, analyze process data, and lead investigations
Interact with customers to resolve complaints and participate in audits
Provide chemical expertise to the plant, including maintenance, EHS, and emergency response
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, chemical Engineering (preferred)
Co-Op, internship, or capstone project supporting an industrial setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationship within all levels of the organization
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with process safety management, lean manufacturing tools and six sigma tools is preferred
