Process Engineer
Job Title: Chemical EngineerJob Description Provide daily process/operations engineering support for Mintrex and MHA production at the Little Rock site to meet the safety, quality, production, and cost goals of the production units. Develop and implement improvements to existing processes and procedures to increase yield and production, improve product quality, and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Work independently with minimal guidance under the supervision of the Manager. Responsibilities + Provide short and long-term planning for production campaigns and input into the monthly production planning processes. + Evaluate operations and advise the Little Rock team on safety and environmental performance, quality enhancements, control costs, and opportunities to maximize the output of production units. + Determine the root cause of process problems and resolve, recommend, and implement improvements to processes, equipment, and facilities. + Maintain engineering documentation and write accurate, clear, and concise procedures. + Support the development and implementation of capital projects as needed, including developing capital project proposals and justifications. + Provide process design and startup support for capital projects. + Ensure that operations at Little Rock comply with governmental laws and the company's policies, and sustain a safety culture that enables safe operation of facilities during all aspects of production, maintenance, and shipping to achieve corporate goals of zero injuries, zero work-related illnesses, zero security incidents, and zero environmental incidents. + Provide daily process direction and troubleshooting of the production process, supporting the Operation Manager and Operations team. + Understand and apply the principles of animal food hygiene, animal food safety, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs) for animal food. + Adhere to the company's Management System (NMS), Integrity System (NIS), and all policies and procedures related to position assignment. The products have become essential to the company's portfolio. The work environment is business casual. The dress code includes a sulphur odor, and the company provides clothing such as pants, shirts, and footwear. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
