Job Title Process Engineer Position Overview Shaw Industries is looking for a Process Engineer to a ssists the Tufting Department Manager in achieving excellent performance in safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, waste, and cost while ensuring compliance with all company, plant, and departmental guidelines and procedures. and will be based in Cartersville, GA. Responsibilities: + Troubleshoot daily process issues while working strongly with BBS and safety + Responsible for maintaining adequate efficiency and off quality performance of assigned processes. + Control process specifications for assigned processes. + Assist Technical Development with trial and new product development. + Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance program. + Manage/ work with OEM vendors on machine related improvements as well as being responsible for vendor assessment. + Manage/ work with contractors, generate bids for equipment improvements + Provide effective and timely reports for the facility and corporate management including maintaining downtime Pareto charts + Organize and execute assigned projects while maintaining records on the projects and develop training documentation for new and existing processes + Meet with management teams to ensure progress towards facility goals. + Work with plant engineering, manufacturing and financial systems to determine where process improvements can be made. + Participate on the Reliability Performance Team + Participate with the WPIT (Workplace Improvement Team) + Lead and participate in 5S events + Participate with the Ergonomics Team as a portion of the SLO Committee + Analyze process bottlenecks to improve efficiency and production output + Participate or direct six sigma projects to decrease scrap or to improve quality Requirements: + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required. + Experience preferred but not required. + Must be able to work on all three shifts as required. + Must be able to manage multiple projects, understand software essential to the process.
