Summary The Engineer will provide technical expertise supporting assigned processing plants, treating plants, and facilities located in West Texas. The candidate will also evaluate, scope, and execute small—to medium-capital projects. This position is based out of the ETC office in Midland, TX. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• As Process Engineer, will be responsible for facility operations technical support and supporting daily process and safety concerns for the gathering and processing assets in the Midland Division.
• Work with Operations and System Planning to lay out the best approach to efficiency spend Maintenance Capital on pipeline replacement and reconfiguring field gathering infrastructure.
• Assist with asset product balancing and efficiency metrics of processed products through the asset.
• Provide recommendations to optimize the compression utilization, fuel usage, electric, and process efficiencies.
• Process Engineer is responsible for managing a wide range of projects, including operations projects and task. The position will be required to meet project scope, budget, and schedule objectives.
• Create job execution plans and work with the DTO organization to identify most efficient way to spend capital to improve/repair field gathering assets.
• Implement entire project cycle for assigned projects including scope and design development, WBS preparation and submittals, material procurement, execution and construction oversight, and project completion.
• Communicate with company Operations and Business Development personnel and contractors for project
• implementation.
• Take part in PSM activities and the development and implementation of PSM work including: Design reviews, PHA’s,
•MOC’s, training, etc.
• Work with various discipline engineers (process, civil/structural, electrical, I/C, etc) to develop and design projects that
follow: engineering standards, code compliance, proper company and safety standards, and good engineering practices.
Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:• Bachelor’s in Engineering Discipline (ChemE or ME) preferred
• Previous experience in pipeline and/or processing industry strongly preferred
• 1-3+ years combined engineering, operations, and/or project experience
• Working knowledge with Microsoft Products and Engineering Simulation Programs including ProMax or equivalent, Greg Engineering’s Nextgen, or SynerGi Gas Software, Ariel Performance Software, Fischer Control Valve, etc.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level: The Engineer level requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 3-6 years of relevant job related experience The Senior Engineer level requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 6-10 years of relevant job related experience Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. • Normal office working conditions, or at project site. • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. • Overnight travel is required, when necessary to manage projects. • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as • well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
