**Position Overview** To define and improve manufacturing processes and plant for new and existing products to deliver business targets. The holder will own and /or contribute to numerous capital projects across Fujifilm sites in the USA and UK. Anchored by an open, fair and clear corporate culture and with leading-edge, proprietary technologies, FUJIFILM is determined to remain a leading company by boldly taking up the challenge of developing new products and creating new value. **Job Description** **Key Result Areas/Deliverables** The job holder is responsible for: + Defining and developing manufacturing processes and plant equipment for new and existing products and to support continuous improvement projects to meet group business targets. + Provide process engineering support and technical expertise to overcome production issues & drive continuous improvement across all manufacturing sites. + Define and commission plant equipment in line with the business plan to meet required timelines. + Keep abreast of current process engineering developments and provide innovative solutions to process engineering problems. **Key Roles & Responsibilities** The job role involves the following principle tasks: + Defining, designing and commissioning equipment for capital programs. + Ensuring HSE compliance across new and existing processes. + Optimising current and siting new processes across manufacturing sites The key responsibilities are outlined below: + Participate in capital project teams to ensure that development, design and data provision meet agreed targets of scope, cost, time and quality targets. + Where appropriate, and as designated by the Group Process Engineering Manager, act as the lead process engineer. + Plan and control commissioning of new and modified plant, ensuring full integration into plant control systems where applicable. + Identify root causes of manufacturing issues and return plants to fully operational state. + Provide process engineering expertise to all safety compliance areas eg LOPA’s, OHA’s, CHA’s & Hazard studies. **Key Relationships** Responsible for developing and maintaining strong and positive partnerships with all stakeholders group wide; in particular with Engineering, Manufacturing, HSE and Technical teams. **Person Specification** An experienced Process Engineer, possessing strong technical knowledge both in the design and operation of chemical manufacturing sites. Experience in supporting capital projects with design, compliance and costing. **Essential** + Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. + Willingness to travel to overseas sites for capital project installation and commissioning. + 2+ years’ experience in a wide range of process engineering activities comprising major projects, new product sitings, manufacturing support. A good understanding of batch chemical processing. + Highly effective communication skills who works collaboratively and constructively in a dynamic and changing environment. + Self-motivated, independent and tenacious individual who is results driven and has the capability to interact with people at all levels. + Proven knowledge and understanding of process design, calculations, specification and commissioning procedures. + In depth knowledge of process safety hazards, familiarity with common tools for assessing them (Hazard Study, LOPA) & ability to read engineering drawings/diagrams. + Ability to lead or provide support to capital projects ranging from £10K to multi-million pound investments. **Desirable** + Experience working within an upper tier COMAH Chemical Manufacturing environment (High Hazard facility in US). + Experience working with combustible dusts. + Competence in the design of pressure relief systems. **Other Information:-** In addition to the tasks and responsibilities listed, the jobholder maybe required to perform other duties assigned from time to time.
