Job Title: Manufacturing Process EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to support our manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering within an automotive setting and possess a hands-on aptitude for problem-solving and process optimization.
Responsibilities
+ Support manufacturing operations and problem solving while making improvements.
+ Support major plant initiatives, kaizen events, and other strategic goals in the plant.
+ Handle problems driven by customer inquiries.
+ Support production, maintenance, and other areas within the plant, including leadership.
+ Procure specialized tools and gages by evaluating design concepts, justifying expenditures, and initiating purchase orders.
+ Establish required engineering documentation necessary for manufacturing operations: Process FMEA, Work Instructions, and other documents.
+ Implement machining methods, improved processes, and plant layout as needed through AutoCAD.
+ Supervise the installation of equipment and supporting functions.
+ Analyze manufacturing impacts of vendor deviations (e.g., out-of-tolerance components or tools) and recommend disposition.
Essential Skills
+ Proven experience in a manufacturing and/or assembly environment to apply new technology or alternate processes.
+ Experience with corrective action and problem solving using tools such as 8D, Five-Why, or similar methodology.
+ Ability to perform statistical analysis.
+ Lean manufacturing experience.
+ Effective writing and data analysis skills.
+ Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor.
+ Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
+ Focus on safe manufacturing processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3+ years of process engineering experience in an automotive setting.
+ Experience with PFMEA, 8D, Five-Why, and Kaizen events.
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
+ BS degree in an engineering-related field.
+ Hands-on aptitude.
+ Experience in an automotive axle manufacturing environment (nice to have).
+ 3D design experience (nice to have).
Work Environment
This position will be involved in the manufacturing operations and requires candidates to be comfortable on the plant floor and hands-on with the equipment. The work environment is dynamic and focused on continuous improvement and safety. Candidates will work with advanced manufacturing technologies and equipment to support production and maintenance activities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
