Process Engineer

The Process Engineer has the primary responsibility of developing data gathering techniques and leveraging data to implement process improvements or upgrades. This will involve trouble shooting, identifying process controls, implementing process improvements and training employees. The Process Engineer will be responsible for assisting in all continuous improvement transformations. This position will also act as a technical resource for all processing equipment. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and will work with all departments, managers, and supervisors.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

Keep a safety mindset, driving safety in all improvements, recommendations and operations. Performs all work in accordance with established OSHA, EPA and Novolex safety regulations Identifying and implementing process improvements by analyzing current operations. Utilizing methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma, to streamline production, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Root cause analysis, problem-solving, and project management to drive measurable results. Building and carrying out limited training of new hires as well as current employees. Maintaining any documentation necessary to perform role. Develop and drive Continuous Improvement culture throughout facility. Assist with equipment retrofits/upgrades. Gather data from production processes to identify trends, analyze root causes, and support decision-making Project support assistance. Facilitate change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes and practices. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, both physically and digitally. Miscellaneous duties as directed by Manager. \n A minimum of a college degree, BA in engineering or similar preferred. 1-3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 5-7 years of industrial experience preferred. Strong analytical skills and data interpretation abilities. Expertise in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts, tools, practices and procedures. Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams. Project management skills to plan and execute improvement initiatives. Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems. Microsoft Office proficiency required, particularly Excel. Good attendance and punctuality required. Work split shifts as needed, flexible scheduling preferred. \n
