GENERAL FUNCTION

This position will be responsible for the deployment and support of Essilor Luxottica AR Coating Process’s

This will include but not limited to:

Both existing and newly developed AR Coatings Testing, troubleshooting, modification on all coating equipment Support all ELOA Base, Partner, IDD and Retail coating centers. Training of lab personal in all aspects related to Essilor Coating production Analyze, evaluate and resolved Coating product quality and process issues with lab staff when needed

This position will also provide ongoing technical support and continuous process improvements to lab with installed Essilor Coating products

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Travel to customer locations to perform installations, training and service. Unpack and install equipment delivered to the site Responsible for the Commissioning of all AR equipment, setup and validation of AR ancillary and support equipment – includes working with contractors, manufacturer technicians, lab personnel and Essilor resources Responsible for Commissioning of new AR Coatings per GLE Process Control Standards Responsible for the Validation of new AR Coatings per Global QA specifications by the use of a Spectrophotometer and other test equipment. Cleary communicate the installation progress, status, and issues to AR Process Manager Complete an accurate installation report and share with AR Process Manager Train lab personal in how Operate, read, and analyze the Spectrophotometer results Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosis, calibration and/or repair of PC, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical AR equipment problems while at lab Assist GLE with the Validation of new products and product optimization Resolves process problems utilizing established problem-solving methods, technical resources and collaboration with fellow associates, management, and outside vendors in performing maintenance and oversight as needed Attend continuing educational seminars and equipment training to maintain a high level of personal competence Assist in developing work instructions, mechanical/electrical design improvements, and manufacturing process improvements Provide 2nd level call support for troubleshooting, diagnosing, calibrating, and repairing Essilor Luxottica AR coating machines, process and related equipment issues via telephone or on-site Assist the AR Process Manager with remote lab support for AR troubleshooting & diagnosing problems with all AR Coatings Perform on site lab Compliance audits to ensure Global QA specifications are being met Supports North American Lab operations and Near Shore labs Supports IDD lab network

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience Strong expertise in computer/electrical/mechanical troubleshooting 3-5 years’ experience in coating processes and equipment desired Consistent good performance in current job Ability to work well with others and in a team environment Eager to learn and constantly improve Technical skills Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively

with multiple stake holders

Computer skills with ability in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & TeamViewer Strong mechanical, electrical and plumbing aptitude Ability to travel 75% of the time Must be proven self-starter and be able to work without direct supervision
