Compensation: $50-62.50/hourLocation: Pasadena, TXWork Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+Assignment Duration: 12 months, long term contractBenefits: Comprehensive insurance with 401(k), PTO and holidays Responsibilities Monitor process conditions for opportunities to improve safety, productivity, quality, and costDevelop of functional knowledge of the process by reviewing Training Manuals, SOPs, P&IDs and other PSI informationInterface with production supervision, technical personnel, maintenance, and operators to leverage operations and process knowledgeUse Pi or Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to assist in process problem solving. Seek out innovative solutions to existing process equipment and execute the Management of Change (MOC) process where applicableRead the daily shift reports and keep a radio tuned to the control room to look for opportunities to help the production team troubleshoot and resolve process problemsUpdate process safety information (PSI) records such as P&IDs, equipment information, safety systems, etc.Lead and/or participate on problemn solving, What-if analysis, HAZOP and PSSR teams. Engineer solutions to action items from these studiesDesign new vessels, equip;ment, pipin and instrumentation or evaluate existing installationsRequest quotes from vendors for new or replacement vessels, equipment, etc.Work with Project Engineering to scope out new capital projects, and coordinate the production portion (commissioning, procedure revision, and other MOC tasks)Work in support of new products and plant trials as requiredAssist in the preparation of environmental reportsPerform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by supervisor or Management Qualifications 1-3 Chemical Process experience1-3 years Manufacturing experienceBachelor's degree in Engineering required, Chemical engineer preferredProficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI)Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in EnglishAbility to perform specific tasks/phases of work with limited/low complexity (applying established process, past business cases and expertise from education) in a stable mannerAbility to learn work process and gain work knowledge through real work experienceWork process improvement on day-to-day operations/assignmentsAccurate and timely reporting/communication/ consultation to supervisorExhibit Leadership & Commitment to Company CSR Policies; support and actively participate in ensuring your actions comply with site CSR policies, procedures, and identified best practices
