About this RoleJob Title: Process Engineer (Entry Level)
Job Summary:
The Process Engineer for this position is responsible for development under supervision of process design parameters including design concept, criteria, equipment specifications, code interpretations, equipment design, calculations, and selections. The Engineer is also responsible for developing the technical deliverables required for industrial process systems, as well as the overall system design for industrial facilities in one or more of the following areas, gas treating, oil and gas, power plants, or liquid material handling.
Applicant should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. Primary responsibilities creating and updating P&ID's, working on chemical process simulations (HYSYS, ProMax, UniSim, Pipe-Flo, etc.), sizing PSV’s, and creating spec sheets for process equipment.

Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited universityExperience in Chemical Process Engineering in midstream and petrochemical industry (0-5 years preferred)Familiarity with process design and controlFamiliarity with relevant industrial standards, including: API 520, API 521 Pt. I & Pt. II, API 2000, ASME Sec. VIII, API 610, etc.Able to identify and analyze problems and implement solutionsDeveloping industry specific calculations for systems such as chemical balance, pipe flow rates, compression, maximum intended inventory, over pressure protection, etc.Developing sizing information for process equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, reactors, etc.) and provide information in the form of equipment datasheetsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in project leadership and/or supportive rolesEngineering Intern (E.I.) in the State of Louisiana and/or Texas preferredLight physical effort required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about facility What You'll GetNorthStar Benefits Summary:
