Process Engineer - Entry-Level - Oil & Gas City Englewood State CO Country United States Area of Interest Engineering Type Full Time - Regular Job ID 2024-12328 Business Group Energy & Industrial Group Department Process Engineering Description Looking to bring on an Entry Level Process Engineer to join the team in May 2025.Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team for multiple projects.Work under the supervision of a more senior process engineer to:Develop the heat and material balance for new projects using process simulation tools. Perform equipment sizing calculations and prepare equipment data sheets.Perform detailed hydraulic calculations to determine pipe sizes, control valve sizing, compressor and pump duties, etc.Perform facility overpressure protection calculations, PSV sizing, and documentation with supervision.Develop Design Basis for new projects.Develop Process Control Narrative document and support Cause & Effect document.Create process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).Participate in safety reviews, HAZOP/PHAs and PSM activities.Maintain effective communication with project team members and with clients, vendors, and contractors.Participate in the preparation of proposals for engineering services. Support schedule planning for projects including coordinating staffing resources with Process Engineering Manager.Support construction, commissioning, and start-up efforts, draft operating procedures and provide operator training manual input. Essential skills and experience:

BS in engineering with a graduation date by Spring 2025 from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program with a strong academic background.Excellent oral and written communication skills required as well as a professional demeanor.Excellent teamwork skills.Able to travel as necessary for client meetings, job site visits, start-up activities, off-site training, industry related conventions/seminars, etc. (up to 20% travel).This position is located in Englewood, CO or in Westminster, CO.

Valued, but not required:

Oil and gas industry experience in midstream and/or upstream.Skills in HYSYS, Synergi, VMG Symmetry, and/or ProMax preferred.

 

Salary Range

 

$72,000 - $82,000
