The Opportunity ... As our PROCESS ENGINEER I– you will Act in a support role for lead process engineering resources on projects and proposals. Help with projects under more experienced engineer's direction and supervision. Read and comprehend once directed codes and regulations. Apply calculations and tools under direction. On a given day, you may: Execute project tasks under direction of more experienced engineers. Perform calculations with established tools and methods for heat and mass transfer and fluid mechanics along with other necessary calculations. Create Process Flow Diagrams and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) based on information supplied by experienced engineers. Gather detailed information on vendor supplied components. Generate text for proposals, specifications, narratives, and other documentation based on templates and other guidance. Generate lists and schedules for equipment, instruments, and other components for estimates, selection review, ordering and other uses. Travel requirement up to 15%. Requirements for the role ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or bioprocess engineering or equivalent preferred. 0-3 years of experience, preferably in equipment and/or system design for food or pharmaceutical industries. Introductory knowledge of basic engineering and equipment design principles. Experience using full Microsoft Office suite of software. Experience using AutoCAD a plus. Why work at JBT ...
