**Process Engineer**
Are you an experienced Process Engineer with a passion for molding processes? Join our dynamic team and lead initiatives to enhance process stability and cost efficiency.
**Position Summary:**
As a Process Engineer under the Director of Manufacturing, you will support all molding operations and collaborate with the New Product Introduction team to launch new processes. You will spearhead projects to improve process stability, reduce costs, and resolve technical issues.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Technical Support:**
+ Expertly support molding processes: injection, compression/transfer molding, thermoplastics, liquid silicone rubber, and high consistency rubber.
+ Ensure new products are production-ready with comprehensive involvement in IQ, OQ, and PQ.
+ Develop and deploy scientific molding principles.
+ Perform initial mold setups and document best practices.
+ Optimize and qualify processes, communicating ranges via Universal Process Sheet (UPS).
+ Train technicians and operators on standard work methods.
**Continuous Improvement:**
+ Drive productivity gains by evaluating and improving existing jobs.
+ Identify and champion waste and cost reduction opportunities.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and meet objectives.
+ Provide tooling assessments to enhance tool life and reduce downtime.
+ Support production by resolving processing issues and performing setups as needed.
**General Responsibilities:**
+ Follow Operating Procedures and Instructions.
+ Maintain a working knowledge of ERP systems, databases, and bill-of-manufacture.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
+ Coordinate setup and processing priorities with production supervisors.
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 5 years of hands-on molding process engineering experience.
+ Preferably a technical degree (Bachelor); relevant experience considered.
+ Knowledge and experience with various materials and molding equipment.
+ Experience in secondary processes like deflashing, pad printing, sonic welding, milling.
+ Applied scientific principles in production settings.
+ Strong time management, communication skills, and team player mentality.
+ Basic computer skills and self-motivation.
