Process Engineering Intern

Job Description:

The Operations department is looking for a Process Engineering Intern to join their team in Le Sueur, MN! As a Process Engineering intern you will be responsible for completing project-based ventures assigned by their mentor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform live troubleshooting on manufacturing equipmentFacilitate initiatives designed to improve the processIdentify, develop, and implement control strategiesDiagnose and troubleshoot production incidents that ariseNavigate appropriate internal and external resources to identify and execute improvement opportunitiesIdentify bottlenecks in the process and develop solutions to improve its performancePerform downtime analysis and work with necessary departments to develop and implement solutions to
minimize equipment downtimeMonitor and improve slab qualityMaintain a priority for safety and engage in initiatives within area of ownershipWork in a multi directional environment with responsibilities in both process and production linePartner with Project Engineering in designing, commissioning, and optimizing new equipmentCoordinate trials by developing testing protocols, adapting protocols, or managing dataPerform job duties safely as outlined in the Process Technology Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Collect and present findings to leadership groups at the end of the summerUphold company culture and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality and teamworkMaintain a positive and energetic interface with all staff members, provide direction as well as be a leader and
teacher at all times

Qualifications & Skills:

Ability to become certified in Chemical HandlingAbility to read and write in English to complete required documentationBasic computer skillsDemonstrated level of confidentiality and professionalismCritical thinking and troubleshooting skillsMechanically inclined

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Working towards a degree in a relevant field of study with an expected graduation date of 2024, 2025, or 2026

Experience: 1-year experience in a related field preferred

Systems: Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Zoom

Internship Program Dates: May 20 - August 9, 2024

Travel Requirements: Local travel may be required between Cambria locations

Physical Requirements:

Lift up to 30 lbs.Stand on feet for extended periods of timeWear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by CambriaParticipate in daily stretch and flex exercisesOccasionally work in wet and/or humid conditionsWork in a non-climate controlled environmentWalk up and down steps multiple times throughout shiftBend over multiple times throughout shift
