You’ll be joining a cohort of talented students from a variety of schools across the U.S. We hire interns into the following positions: Process Engineering, R&D, Strategic Sourcing, Technical Sales, Supply Chain, Product Marketing, Information Technology, and more.

Internship Location: Simpsonville, SC.

Position Overview:
The chemical engineering intern reports to an Engineering Manager and is responsible for supporting process and project work through analysis and design of emulsion polymerization, adhesives, and coatings processes.
Primary Duties:
The chemical engineering intern will be responsible for calculation and design support for capital projects and process improvements, including:
Evaluation and design of filtration/recovery systems
Batch cycle time studies and improvement
Updating site PSI
Documentation/design of site pressure safety valves
Smaller process improvement opportunities, including sizing, ordering, and installing pumps, controls valves, or other process equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Must be pursuing a B.S. as a rising Junior/Senior in Chemical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with AutoCAD or other drafting software
Prior experience with Excel, Matlab, or other calculation-enabling programs.
Physical Environment:
Work will be performed both in office and field.
Lifting objects up to 55 lbs may be occasionally required
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $22-$25 per hour based on major.In addition to your salary, H.B.
