Salary: $112,500 - $163,740

Focus: The Process Engineering Relief Design Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for providing process technical expertise for Reactive Chemistry Relief Design to ensure that our plants are in compliance with relief design standards and codes. This role requires extensive experience in relief design, good overall knowledge of safety & value-creation practices and documentation requirements.  This role also assists with planning and implementation of relief design work requests with our approved engineering firms.

Process Engineering Relief Design Subject Matter Expert Job Functions:

Provide process technical expertise for Reactive Chemistry Relief Design Support documentation reviews (ASME Part 13, etc.) Coordinate relief design work for the Freeport TX manufacturing site and other Olin sites as needed Work with our engineering firms to ensure consistency for the relief design packages Review relief design packages supplied by our engineering firms to check for consistency Own the Olin Relief Design Manual and improve / update as needed Provide annual training to engineers in the area of relief design

Process Engineering Relief Design Subject Matter Expert Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree* in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other related discipline Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Process Engineering Relief Design Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Reactive Chemistry Relief Design Experience in deflagration analysis preferred Experience in chlor-alkali technology preferred, including demonstrated troubleshooting and operations support skills P.E. license is preferred Must possess analytical abilities and problem resolution skills; must also possess the ability to apply mathematical concepts and interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions Must possess a valid US Driver's license
