Process Engineering Technician

Summary: Seeking a Process Engineering Technician with strong technical and analytical skills to support process engineering and continuous improvement projects.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing/technical experience

High School Diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred

Ability to provide technical support to process engineers to meet production goals

Proficient in lifting up to 70 lbs

Technical writing experience for SOPs, work instructions, and safety documents

Proficiency in MS Office software including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint

Preferred Skills:

Six Sigma Green Belt certification is advantageous

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem-solving tools (e.g., fishbone diagram, 5 Whys)

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support including data collection, entry, and filing for process engineering

Assist in reviewing existing and designing new manufacturing equipment/processes

Promote a safe working environment and support safety-related process improvements

Contribute to cost reduction and productivity improvements through continuous improvement projects

Support Process Engineers with the Cost site-wide star point team and lead high-performance teams on cost management

Perform A3 root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as necessary

Engage in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities such as reviews & updates of P-maps/controls/FMEA

Validate new part approvals and participate in ECO processes

Participate in the shop floor escalation process

Improve process capabilities through validation efforts

Troubleshoot production floor processes using day by hour sheets analysis

Review, revise, and draft standard operating procedures; train relevant staff on new equipment/processes

Note: Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, sitting, reaching, pushing/pulling fine motor tasks, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 70 lbs.
