Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Engineering Technician located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Process Engineering Supervisor, the Process Engineering Technician performs technical tests and experiments for process engineering.

Shift: Sun-Thurs | 11pm-7:15am | 12.5% Shift differential

What a typical day looks like:

Perform set-up of processing equipment.Monitor, audit and provide guidance to line operators and maintenance personnelProcess test runs and prepare records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.Provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.Line change configuration.Perform and assist with corrective maintenance and yield improvement activitiesFollows escalation procedures.Work with cross functional teams interfacing with different departments like Operations, Quality, Etc.Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues in a timely manner.Comfortable working in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Associate’s Degree in related field, technical training or equivalent education and training. Electrical, Mechatronic, Automation, Mechanical, or Industrial concentration is preferred.3+ years of related experience supporting automated production equipment.Experience in technical writing to support change control and  quality/compliance activitiesSetup, operation and maintenance of industrial equipmentElectro-Mechanical Knowledge, Electrical schematics, Mechanical drawing and dimensional annotation comprehension.Ability to understand and interface with various Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Ability to work with complex industrial mechanical assembly's in an automated environment.Ability to troubleshoot network and serial communications in equipmentExperience working in a regulated industry (Solar, Aerospace, or Automotive), with compliance to FDA, NHTSA, FTC, ISO or other regulatory requirements.
