PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.
Job DescriptionThe process & equipment engineer’s role is to ensure operability of Loader & Unloader in the SMI line, to ensure achievement of output targets of the equipment and yield targets of the products, to ensure achievement of unscheduled downtime targets, to ensure cycle time targets of the equipment and products and to ensure set up of new machines in a timely manner.
Perform maintenance according to maintenance plan on Loader & Unloader and calibration.Analysis of downtime reasons of the equipment, mechanical, electrical and electronic repairing of the equipment. Release of equipment according engineering specificationLocalization of failures on measurement boards, PCBs and repair of boards.Mechanical, electrical alignment of the equipment according to supplier specificationAutonomous adaption and extension of circuit diagrams according to engineering specificationFirst contact person regarding appointments with equipment suppliers and regarding questions of the equipment suppliers. Monitoring of due dates. Technical discussions with supplier, engineering.Develop measures to reduce failures, to improve quality and output and to reduce costs together with the engineering.Analysis of failures on carriers and their repair. Maintenance of carriersPlacing into operation of carriers according to specification.Align all changes with lead plant engineering.8D responsibility and hold lots dispose.Instruction of Operators/Technicians in alignment with production management & willing to work in production.Support FMEA and Control Plan.Ensure spare parts availability.Execute any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time.QualificationsMinimum 3 years to 5 years working experience in the semiconductor industry, preferable at least 3 years of maintenance & process experience.At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical or relevant semiconductor machine maintenance exposure.Candidates must be proactive in discussion with ability to recommend & propose solutions.Possess basic mechanical, electrical and electronic skills.Possess strong communication skills and able to transfer technical knowledge with various operations team members.Able to organize project, lead the team to meet the required project plans and schedules that integrate resources, tasks and timelines.Able to perform analysis, repairs on PCB & equipment with refrigeration & chamber exposure.Ability in using logic and reasoning & accurate to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches on problems & proposal on cost reduction and improvement measures.Ability to solve problem using Systematic Problem-Solving methodology e.g., Poka Yoke concept.Ability to lead technical discussion together with equipment supplier and engineering team.Ability to instruct operators on how to fulfil their tasks.Open for business trip and able to travel to China and Germany for training.Additional InformationBenefits:
