**The Opportunity**
This position is based in Orlando, FL, within Abbott’s Heart Failure, Medical Devices division. As a Process Excellence Engineer II, you will play a key role in defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling processes across the organization. You will work closely with project management and cross-functional teams to drive process standardization, develop robust processes, and enhance process efficiency.
**Principle Responsibilities**

+ Expertise in the fundamentals of LEAN and Six Sigma, with the ability to identify and eliminate the different types of waste, analyze value-added and non-value-added time, and effectively work through the DMAIC process.
+ Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to successfully implement projects that drive gross margin improvement.
+ Plan, lead, and effectively facilitate kaizen events to enable rapid process improvement and empower cross-functional teams.
+ Support and co-develop new initiatives for the organization that are value-added to the process excellence program.
+ Identify opportunities and drive incorporation of appropriate Lean and Six Sigma tools such as 5S, time studies, line balancing, standard work, material flow and value stream mapping to optimize operations.
+ Conduct training sessions on the principles of lean and problem-solving methodologies and tools.
+ Develop and update capacity models and clearly articulate the concepts of labor standards, labor efficiency, utilization, and bottleneck analysis.
+ Update process flow charts and work instructions to improve process standardization and efficiency.
+ Lead process validation activities to ensure repeatable and reproducible processes.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 2-5 years' experience in engineering, operations or managing projects related to business improvement initiatives. Medical Device experience preferred.
+ Lean Six Sigma Black belt certification.
+ Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business, or related field
+ Strong project management, multi-tasking and organizational skills and ability to respond efficiently in a continuously changing environment.
+ Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with wide range of audiences.
+ Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
+ Ability to travel up to ~10%, including internationally.

The base pay for this position is $66,700.00 – $133,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
