Job Description
We are seeking a talented Process Improvement Engineer to design and integrate material flow throughout our facility. This role involves leading continuous improvement activities, managing material flow processes, and developing best practices for logistics. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about industrial engineering and looking to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
+ Design processes for material flow from supplier to shipment of finished goods.
+ Lead continuous improvement activities by resolving material flow challenges within the facility.
+ Manage the expansion of material flow processes.
+ Develop and maintain best practices for internal and external logistics, focusing on kitting, sequencing, and material handling automation.
+ Communicate with the materials, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment with objectives.
+ Oversee indirect labor activities, including defining kitting and milk run operations.
+ Calculate process times to maximize labor and space efficiency.
+ Ensure smooth material handling and delivery throughout the facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or comparable degree
+ 5-7+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering
+ Experience in logistics and material flow
Work Environment
Our facility manufactures consumer industrial products and distributes them globally. We engage in continuous manufacturing as well as custom project-based work. Candidates will work a Monday-Thursday schedule with 10-hour shifts and occasional overtime, offering a great work-life balance. The facility is very clean, and engineers will have the opportunity to work on new and interesting projects. There is a possibility of approximately 10% travel to the North Carolina plant. Employees enjoy 10 days of PTO and 6 paid standard holidays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $45.75
