ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Document and evaluate current processes and recommend efficiencies and implementation procedures to the department’s management team. Measures and tracks expected and actual benefits of recommended/implemented process improvements.Partnering with or transferring to IT where applicable for enhanced internal controls, support the financial systems for the Accounting & Finance Department as necessary including general ledger, bill back manager, HQ Retalix, POS, sales audit, accounts payable, etc.Communicate with vendors and internal associates to answer questions and resolve issues.Partnering with IT or transferring to IT where applicable for enhanced internal controls, administer the configuration of Workday, such as ledger years and periods, account sets, worktag structures, validation rules, and business process workflows. Maintain user access and quarterly access reporting for all financial systems.Assist Management with technical project initiatives and testing. Keep position procedure documentation up to date.Support the business with data requests through new ad hoc or regular reporting and data mining (Workday, Power BI, SQL).Investigate and analyze discrepancies and recommend issue resolution. Escalates as needed.Directly supports the Sales Audit team in issue resolution, reporting needs, and facilitating Sales Audit application changes with IT.Additional projects will be assigned as needed by management with focus given to cross-functional projects prioritized by ERT and Weis Ideas Team (WIT).SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThe position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
