**Your role at Clorox:**
Pay Rate: $36.74
Shift: Day Shift (M-F 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) + occasional overtime with weekend support for business needs.
The Process Improvement Technician is responsible for evaluating new and existing processes within DHV and Blending, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. This role involves data analysis, problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and minimize Availability, Quality, and Performance losses.
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position, meaning, a lapse of attention could adversely affect the safety of others by resulting in injury, illness, or death, including without limitation a position that includes the operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or operation motorized vehicle.
**In this role, you will:**
**Process Analysis:**
+ Analyze Current Processes: Assess existing organizational processes to identify safety hazards, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas that require improvement.
+ Assess and lead the implementation of new processes to ensure optimization.
+ Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data related to process performance, including cycle times, error rates, and resource utilization, to identify areas for improvement effectively.
**Continuous Improvement:**
+ Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement, process improvement strategies and initiatives.
+ Project Leadership with Safety Focus: Take the helm of improvement projects, utilizing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, A3, and Project Governance to eradicate waste, reduce operating costs, boost productivity, all while meticulously assessing safety risks and job hazards.
+ Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor the progress of improvement initiatives, making necessary adjustments to ensure that objectives are met.
+ Technology Integration: Identify opportunities for integrating technology solutions to streamline processes, mitigate safety risks, and enhance efficiency.
+ Issue Resolution: Review the Short Interval Control (SIC) board to Identify and troubleshoot process-related issues and failures in real-time, implementing corrective actions promptly.
**Data Management:**
+ Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of process-related data and performance metrics for reference and analysis.
+ Data Analysis: Utilize software tools and data analysis techniques to extract insights and trends from process data, which can inform decision-making.
**Documentation:**
+ Process Documentation: Create and update process documentation, including clean, inspect, lubricate (CILs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process maps, ensuring that they accurately reflect current processes.
+ Accessibility: Ensure that all team members have access to the latest process documentation, enabling them to follow updated procedures.
**Training and Communication:**
+ Training: Provide training and support to team members regarding new and improved processes, ensuring they understand and can implement changes effectively. This could include hands-on, in writing, classroom style, tell-show do or assessment type training.
+ Communication and Alignment: Proficiently convey change points and enhancements to all pertinent stakeholders, and gain alignment throughout all shifts and departments.
**Quality Control:**
+ Monitoring: Continuously monitor process changes to ensure they meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Quality Measures: Implement quality control measures as needed to maintain or improve the quality of products
**What we look for:**
+ A comprehensive grasp of machinery and automation equipment operation and functions within the department.
+ Proficiency in data analysis and the utilization of tools like Microsoft Excel, data visualization software, and statistical analysis software.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to build effective relationships demonstrating interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey process changes.
+ Ability to influence and inspire team members through strategic tactics that engage and motivate.
+ Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and tools, encompassing process mapping, root cause analysis, and performance metrics.
+ Adept at identifying problems, uncovering root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
+ Demonstrated accountability, consistency, and follow-through capabilities.
+ Proficiency in utilizing network computer applications and electronic mail.
+ Fundamental mathematical skills for computations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations for batch size determinations.
+ Willingness to maintain flexibility in working hours to support all shifts and weekends as business needs require.
+ Demonstrate self-directed initiative to complete responsibilities and duties.
**Years and Type of Experience** :
+ Minimum: 3 years of Manufacturing Experience (Food Manufacturing Preferred)
+ Experience using MS Office
+ Basic understanding of process improvement principles and methodologies, such as Toyota Production Systems (TPS) and/or Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
**Eligibility Criteria (Internal Use Only)**
+ In “good standing” with the company. Employees on any written warning status or above are not eligible to apply for open positions. This would include Written, 1st Written, 2nd Written, and Final Written. Employees on Verbal warnings are considered in “good standing” for purposes of this policy.
+ Minimum of twelve (12) months in your current department and have a minimum of six (6) months in your current **_position_** after skill block is sign-off. If not signed off within the department the twelve (12) months criteria is the only criteria that must be met.
