Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manger Process Manufacturing 2 to join our diverse team of professionals. This leadership position is located onsite in Bethpage, NY.
In this role, the Manager Process Manufacturing 2 will have the responsibility of leading, managing, and supervising the shop floor personnel. The selected candidate will manage, direct and lead the activities of a cross functional product team responsible for manufacturing of aviation support equipment that meets all the cost, quality and schedule commitments of the program. In this role you will have complete responsibility to ensure performance goals are met on a daily basis. Expectations for success will be to develop and maintain open lines of communication to ensure high levels of program and customer satisfaction, promote the development of directed work groups and a work environment which aligns to and embraces the values of Northrop Grumman, encourages training and opportunities for its work force, ensure compliance to all state, corporate and sector policies related to health, safety, environmental and equal opportunity regulations. Additionally, this role will lead integration efforts & special projects for the Global Autonomous & Tactical Solutions Support Equipment Manufacturing Center of Excellence which will include the following responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Sets daily and long-term work priorities and operating objectives in support of overall program objectives. Provides guidance to subordinates based on those priorities and objectives while adhering to company policyCommunicates roadblocks and impediments to meeting production goals to Program Manager/Integrated Product TeamAssists team with removing any constraints preventing them from performing at the highest level possibleReviews team staffing and budget statuses and makes recommendations to meet program schedule and costResponsible for establishing manhour and expense estimates with justification for Department of Defense proposals for manufacturing activitiesRegularly analyzes alternative courses of action while weighing risk/reward implications for program.Helps meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problemsProviding direction and coaching to techniciansEnsures team members receive the required training to effectively and efficiently accomplish required work, Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
