**We are looking for:**
+ The **Process & Occupational Safety Specialist** is responsible for bringing a strategic focus, technical depth, collaboration and leadership, cultural development, and data-driven decision-making aspects to the role.
+ The primary purpose is to identify risk and contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide process safety and occupational safety strategies that improve operational reliability, H&S performance, and reduce risks.

+ Extensive knowledge of process safety in a complex chemical and materials organization.
+ Experience advancing leadership and cultural aspects to achieve Occupational Safety Best in Class performance.
+ Work within the Process Safety and Occupational Safety networks to align risks and collaborate on solutions to address them.
+ Set benchmarks and assess process safety and occupational safety performance across the organization using industry standards.
+ Leverage advanced data analytics to identify leading indicators, predict risks, and drive proactive process safety and occupational safety improvements.
+ Benchmark performance against industry leaders to identify best practices and ensure continuous improvement.
+ Work with a collaborative mindset to ensure effective working relationships in the functions and business units.
+ Represent Syensqo in professional organizations (ACC, CEFIC, etc)
+ Participate in the Internal Process Safety and Occupational Safety Networks to ensure consistency in the application of expectations and requirements.
**You will bring:**
**Education and Experience**
+ A minimum of a Bachelor's or equivalent University degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
+ 10 years of experience, preferably in chemical operations with 5 years of experience in plant operations and demonstrated leadership roles/capabilities.
+ Knowledge of and experience managing Process Safety and Occupational Safety in a plant or group setting.

+ Demonstrated ability to navigate cultural differences and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

**You will get:**
+ The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $152,000 to $190,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
