Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Process/Quality Engineer to join our team. You will work closely with production and quality team members to troubleshoot and resolve process issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead quality improvement.
ResponsibilitiesLead regular meetings and reports to management regarding out-of-box quality reduction.Conduct root cause investigations and ensure completion and effectiveness of corrective actions.Collaborate with production and quality team members, including in-process inspectors, to resolve process issues.Lead or participate in MRB meetings.Identify and lead improvements in quality and manufacturing processes in a cross-functional setting.Monitor field failures and first pass yield; utilize problem-solving tools such as 8D to reduce failure rates and increase yield.Establish and develop quality processes to continually improve product quality and determine KPIs.Promote a mindset of 'zero defect' within the company.Complete any other tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor based on company needs.Essential SkillsProcess improvementQuality engineeringContinuous improvementManufacturing processISO 9001 and other ISO standardsMechanical engineering backgroundRoot cause analysisNon-conforming product managementRoboticsElectromechanical systemsAdditional Skills & QualificationsCompetence in various Quality Tools, especially 8-D, 5-why and fishboneStrong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skillsUnderstanding of LEAN principles and 5SKnowledge of Six Sigma principles; green or black belt certification is desirableUnderstanding of Mechanical (GD&T) & Electrical drawingsProficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPointKnowledge of statistical process control and SPC toolsAbility to manage multiple projects and issues with minimal management interventionAbility to adjust priorities with short notice in a fast-paced environment5+ years of experience in an Engineering position, with preferably 2+ years in QualityExperience working under ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management SystemProven leadership experience coordinating cross-functional teams is a plusExperience in the semiconductor industry is a plusFamiliarity with ERP
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $125000.00
