Job Title: Process/Quality EngineerJob Description
The Process Engineer provides engineering support to ensure products are processed in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow. This role involves developing and maintaining systems to assure that all products manufactured by the plant meet customer specifications and achieve high reliability levels. The Process Engineer will be the resident expert regarding process technology and will investigate and implement new process technology at the plant. Additionally, the role includes maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing the plant, influencing the development of preventative maintenance programs, and playing a significant role in capital improvement plans.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure products are processed in accordance with customer and division quality requirements
+ Develop and maintain systems to assure product quality and reliability
+ Investigate and implement new process technologies
+ Maintain, upgrade, and optimize plant operations
+ Influence the development of preventative maintenance programs
+ Assist in work area design, plant layout, visual control and metric implementation, material flow, process tracking, and communication
+ Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives
+ Write and monitor quality control policies and procedures
+ Investigate equipment failures, difficulties, and deficiencies
+ Assist with calendaring processes
+ Implement Lean manufacturing principles, CAPA, Six Sigma, and troubleshooting techniques
+ Manage supplier quality audits and tooling processes
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years of process experience in manufacturing rubber-related products
+ Experience in quality engineering, process improvement, process engineering, and continuous improvement
+ Proficiency in root cause analysis, process control, and quality systems
+ Familiarity with KPIs, ERP systems, and manufacturing engineering
+ Knowledge of ISO standards
+ Ability to read and write quality control policies and procedures
+ Experience with data analysis and performance/operation metrics
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in operations
+ Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), ERP software, and Skype
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
+ Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
+ Experience with Lean manufacturing, CAPA, Six Sigma, quality control, troubleshooting, supplier quality, audit, and tooling
+ Calendaring experience is a plus, but training will be provided
Work Environment
This position will be working on the manufacturing floor and maintaining the plant. The work environment is within a family-owned business that fosters an innovative atmosphere, providing ample opportunities to gain industry experience.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
