Process Quality Engineer

This job may be eligible for relocation benefits. ?? **What You’ll Do :** Engineers are responsible for protecting the customer through monitoring and evaluating internal production processes, examining products to determine their quality, and engaging with sub-suppliers, among other duties. ​ **What You'll Do:** **Responsibilities:** + Manage - guide, lead & direct represented hourly technicians. + Understanding customer expectations of and needs from a product. + Developing quality control processes. + Supervising and monitoring production standards. + Monitoring and evaluating internal production processes. + Evaluating the final output of products to determine their quality. + Rejecting products that fail quality standards. + Engaging with customers and gathering product feedback. + Producing statistical reports on quality standards. + Reporting to upper management on quality standard issues. + Improving production efficiency and managing waste **Additional Job Description** **Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)** + Required: High School Diploma + Ability to work OT and weekends + Ability to work all shift (1st, 2nd & 3rd) + Excellent attention to detail. Highly conscientious and diligent. + Excellent verbal and written communication + Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others. + Capable of handling multiple projects without direct supervision. + Analytical ability where problems are unusual or difficult. + Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others. + Familiarity with manufacturing operations, processes, and best practices. + Basic understanding of quality principles. + Knowledge/ability to implement lean manufacturing principles. **What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)** + Preferred: College degree or equivalent training/experience. + 2 years of relative professional experience. + Experience in casting/propulsion processes and equipment. + Multiple different manufacturing assignments with successful individual achievements or strong team-based achievements. + Problem solving experience with Practical Problem Solving, 7-Diamonds, Red-X + Quality control certification. + Data analysis and statistical aptitude. **Sponsorship:** GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
