Annual Wage Range: $98,273.60 - $135,126.20

W.R. Grace is hiring a Process Safety Management Leader for our Norco, LA site who will report to the EHS Manager. The Process Safety Management Leader is responsible for the plant’s safety initiatives playing a critical role in leading and driving business and operational objectives to include EHS, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Effectiveness.
The primary responsibilities will include day-to-day duties including working with the engineer and operations staff on Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Process Safety Management (PSM), training, preventing, and responding to incidents, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
Responsibilities Engagement with site personnel and contractors to ensure a safe working environment. Will be responsible for performing field audits, and involvement with critical safety processes including: Hot Work, Confined Spaces, Line and Equipment Openings, Respiratory Protection, Life Critical Guards and Elevated (Fall Protection) work. Knowledgeable of incident investigation and reporting techniques. Root cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA). Ensure site and staff conformity with Grace Health and Safety and Process Safety Implementing Procedures (all relevant IPHS). Responsible for supporting all aspects of the site’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) to include oversight and management of our Relief and Pressure device program. Process Hazard Analysis Facilitator – HAZOPs, What-Ifs, FMEA, LOPA. Management of Change experience. Provides input into capital budget to drive improved PSM and EHS deliverables. Identify, monitor, and maintain key performance indicators (KPI’s), and drive data access to the operator/craftsman level. Proactively identify development opportunities to build EHS expertise. Physical Requirements and Environment Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings. Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft. Required Qualifications B.S. degree in Engineering or Science discipline, or related field. 3-6+ years' experience. Prior experience conducting PHA/PSM for certificate in PHA/PSM.
