Job Description

Night Shift Process Support

The responsibility of the process support is to oversee the operation of all manufacturing processes within their department to ensure material is produced in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties

Follows safe operating procedures and complies with all EHS and GPM guidelines to ensure that only the highest safety standard is maintained.Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errorsMeets company’s attendance requirements, including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requestedOversees complex make-ready duties to ensure accuracy.Ensures that NEMPM for machines are achieved for each shift.Oversees the machine operation critical setupsInspects materials received from prior operations to verify accuracy and conformance to specifications, read specs and verify machine set-up to specPerforms inspections of running web, as well as finished rollsPerforms basic operator preventative maintenance to machines and/or toolsInstructs other workers and performs troubleshooting to maintain maximum efficiency and product qualityMaintains a neat and orderly work area in accordance to 5S standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basisParticipates in on-the-job training and instruction to learn other job tasksComplies with Company policies and perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge

1.

Requirements

Must possess strong working knowledge of department processes.Must possess the ability to operate basic hand tools.Strong communication skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.Must possess the ability to provide instruction to co-workers.

High School education or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of experience in a operator position.

Daily contact with maintenance workers, shift supervisor, production employees and production planners.

Limit exposure to external contacts.

Responsibility

Responsible for the oversight and supervison of all equipment/employees with the department.
