Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food. Location Description Michael Foods, Inc., located in Bloomfield, Nebraska, is one of our only cage free facilities. The facility is located three miles outside of Northeast Nebraska's busiest community. Bloomfield is a haven for those who prefer small-town life over city living and is located less than 30 miles from recreation areas where you can enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking and camping. Our location produces liquid egg product that is sent to our other facilities for further processing. Responsibilities JOB SUMMARY: To direct and load out product while maintaining equipment efficiencies and environmental cleanliness to ensure the highest quality product. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Loading of egg product onto tankers. Assembling of press and other product lines prior to morning start-up. Responsible for cleaning (CIPing) load-out lines, cooling press, silos and tankers. Maintain the cleanliness of breaking machines, floor and other areas in breaking room, washer area and tanker bay Empty inedible containers as necessary. Assist in the lunch time clean-up of breaking room and washer area. Ensure the proper routing of Cage Free/Conventional egg product throughout the breaking process – from breaker to tanker – dependent on separating or making whole egg. Responsible for the testing of chemical concentrations used in the CIP and breaking process. Responsible for all necessary products sampling and related testing (solids, fats, etc). Assist in giving employee breaks when necessary. Monitor temperatures of egg product throughout the process. Maintain all documentation related to the job duties. Minor maintenance on some of the equipment. Being able to drive the jockey truck to move tankers. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education: No prior experience or training. Experience: No prior experience or training. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in situations. Licenses, certificates, registrations: Valid Drivers License and pass MVR check for driving company vehicle (Jockey Truck) Other skills and abilities: Ability to communicate with other personnel and outside contacts Trained in Confined Space and LOTO Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. occasionally Ability to maintain accurate and complete documentation General knowledge of chemicals and CIP system
