Job Description
Processing Technicians work independently within various departments such as palletizing, granulation, compression, coating, dispensing, and inspection. They may also be required to work in the packaging department when production is low.
ResponsibilitiesProcess and manufacture products in accordance with written processing orders.Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for the production of pharmaceutical products.Clean processing equipment and rooms in accordance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Work in departments including Dispensing (weighing materials accurately and completing documentation, lifting up to 50 lbs), Granulation (loading and unloading the mixer that mixes the chemicals, lifting up to 50 lbs), Compression (working on the compressing machine that compounds the materials together, lifting 30-40 lbs), and Coating (quality inspecting finished products, lifting 30-50 lbs).Essential SkillsTroubleshootingMachine operationMechanical aptitude2+ years experience with mechanical aptitude and machinesAbility to lift up to 50 lbsReading and writing in EnglishExperience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Pharmaceutical experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDClear record checkClear English communicationCandidates should have steady resumes and be looking for long-term employmentWhy Work Here?
This role offers the opportunity to turn into a permanent position for good performers. Employees will work in a clean environment and gain experience with a variety of products. There is room for advancement to a processing technician role or supervisor.
Work Environment
The work environment is clean, with no dust or smells. Employees will be required to wear gowns and work within an organized setting alongside a team of 30-40 people. The company is currently manufacturing new pills, leading to an increase in production. Shift timings may vary depending on the team and product being manufactured. Employees will have two 36-minute breaks to allow time to de-gown. Shift options include days, afternoons, nights, and weekend shifts. Initial training may require 1-2 weeks on the day shift unless the candidate has previous experience.
