The Proctor is responsible for guiding students on test instructions, maintaining the examination area's orderliness and collecting all test papers after the exam's conclusion. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: + Ensure accuracy of exam materials in their exam room (correct number of exams, scratch paper, exam books, etc). + Prepare examination room for students, checking student IDs and distributing exam materials. + Provide required instructions to students, monitoring the exam room while the examination is in progress to ensure prohibited materials are not being used. + Ensure students adhere to the time limitation of exam, collecting all exam materials and returning them to the Office of the Registrar. + Ensure the integrity and fairness of the examination process, maintaining “courteous control” in a professional manner while administering the examination. + Enforce examination rules when necessary and bring potential honor code violations to the attention of the Office of the Registrar. + Notify the Office of the Registrar immediately of any examination issues, questions, or students in distress. Work InteractionsThe Proctor interacts with Georgetown Law students by administering examinations. Requirements and Qualifications + Proctors must have at least a high school diploma or GED and be comfortable reading and speaking in front of large groups of students in a clear and articulate voice + Willing to work in a room alone or collaborate with other proctors and staff in a professional and courteous manner + Punctuality, flexibility, willingness to take and follow instructions, and attention to detail are essential Work Mode DesignationThis position has been designated as On-Campus. Pay Range The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $21.60- $26.40. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
